Planned Events & Appearances

We will update the calendar periodically as more dates are confirmed.

If no events are shown, Gloriana will be on display at St. Katharine Docks, in the City of London.

There are also Transit Days in the calendar, where Gloriana will be travelling from one location to the next. These are often good days to catch a sight of her at a lock on the River Thames.

11th June 2016 at 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

The Lord Mayor's Show 2013 Houses of Parliament

As part of Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations we are delighted to announce that Gloriana, The Queen’s Rowbarge, will be taking part in a spectacular flotilla on the River Thames on Saturday 11th June.

Gloriana will be travelling from HMS President upriver to Westminster, turning at Lambeth Bridge and then, on the return journey, taking part in a salute to the Queen opposite the Palace of Westminster and again at the Tower of London.

Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant

QRB Gloriana will lead the flotilla which will include the historic Havengore vessel, famous for carrying Churchill’s coffin on the day of his funeral, the Royal Shallop Jubilant, and the legendary fireboat Massey Shaw.

The Drapers’ Company barge Royal Thamesis, the Thames Limo charter boat and over a dozen Dunkirk little ships will also take part in the majestic procession.

Having first travelled up river from Tower Bridge, the flotilla will then form up in front of the Houses of Parliament and set off back down river at 12:15.

Tower Bridge will lift in salute at 12:55 for the procession, near the time that the Red Arrows will be seen over London for a flypast at Buckingham Palace where the Queen is expected to be on the balcony in front of waiting crowds.
